Adilabad is a district headquarters in Andhra Pradesh. It is located on the border of Andhra Pradesh, connecting Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra State. Therefore we can see a mixture of Maratha and Telugu speaking communities here and the city serves as junction to the above two states in terms of transportation. Telugu is the official language here, but also Marathi and Urdu are spoken. Since Adilabad lies in the Sahyadri Mountains range and is full of lush green forests it is called the district of forests.
