Araku Valley is beautiful valley located on Eastern Ghats with its pleasant weather, hills and valleys. It is a hill station elevated about 600 ? 900 meters from sea level and is a region in the Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh state of India. Arruku is popular all over the world for its unique variety of coffee production. It is located very close to the borders of Orissa State, and is about 115Kms away from Vishakhapatnam city. Mostly tribal people live here. The valley can be approached by road or train from Vishakhapatnam. The center lies on the Kothavalasa-kirandul section of Visakhapatnam Division of the East Coast Railway. There are two stations of Araku. One is Araku and the second one is Araku Valley. It is a wonderful experience to travel by train; there are total 41 tunnels and many bridges on the way. There is Ananthagiri hills on the way, which is famous for its Coffee plantations. Another spot Bora caves 29 Kms before Araku Valley is a major tourist attraction. The road journey to Araku by Ghat road is very thrilling and pleasant. The road is fully surrounded by thick forests. One can also reach the valley by enjoying a trekking trip to the spot as well.
