The city lies at a distance of about 114 km (Panjim) from Goa, 490 km from Mumbai, 340 km from Pune, 103 km from Hubli, 506 km from Bangalore and about 112 km from Kolhapur.
NH-4, coming under the Golden Quadrilateral Highway, passes through the city by connecting Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. It has a small airport having flights between Bangalore and Belgaum. The nearest airport is at Hubli, but even Hubli airport gets very less flights. One can come from Goa side by getting down at Goa airport. You can reach Belgaum by trains, it has railway station.
