Chittoor is a city of Indian southern state of Andhra Pradesh. It is the headquarter of the district of the same name ‘’Chittoor district’’. Chittoor is a market of peanuts, grain and sugarcane. Oil seeds and rice milling are some of its industries. It is also known for the production mangos and hatcheries. Thangal ashram is another beautiful place around Chittoor. It is situated 20km away from Chittoor in neighboring state Tamil Nadu. It can be visited any time but full moon days are the best time to visit this Asharam. How to get there: The city is conveniently linked by road and rail to other parts of the state and the country. It is situated on Bangalore- Chennai highway and thus well connected to other cities and towns of the state and the country. It has its railway station and you can directly reach the city by train from Chennai, Tirupati, Kanyakumari and other cities of the state. Chennai Airport is the nearest airport for Chittoor. The airport is 135km away from the Chittoor and well connected by many flights to Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and other major cities of the country.
