Coonoor town is a municipal town of Nilgairis district of Tamil Nadu state of India. Nilgiri tea of this place is very famous. Being located at an altitude of 1900 meters it is the second highest hill station in Tamil Nadu and is an ideal place for trekking events in the region. Conoor is the second largest town in Nilgiri hills; Ooty being the biggest is also the district headquarters.
