Dubare an important forest base for Elephant camp in the Kodagu district of Karnatak. Those elephants who have retired from their forest logging duties are let loose here. Such Elephants are deployed sometimes to give rides to the people. Dubare forests offer trekking, elephant rides, fishing and river rafting. Many birds and wild animals are found in the forests of Dubare. One can spot Tigers, Elephants, Sambhar, spotted Deer, Leopard, wild Dogs, Gaur and Bears. Crocodiles and many reptiles can be seen here. Dubare can be easily reached from Bangalore on Bangalore Mysore road to Kushalnagara and then 15 Kms on Siddapura Main Road.
