Approaching Gandhinagar by air is possible via Ahmadabad. Ahmadabad International Airport connects the city with all major cities of India. Railway connection has been establishes recently. The city railway station is called Gandhinagar Capital railway station.
You get regular trains to Ahmadabad. So, you can approach Gandhinagar very easily from Ahmadabad city. By road it would be more easy to access the city directly.
