Kachner is located at a distance of about 37 km from Aurangabad in Maharashtra. The place is a pilgrimage spot for the Jain devotees. It is one among many Parsvanatha temples spread across India. The image of Kachner temple is known as Shri 1008 Chintamani Parsvanath Digambar. The place is known for miracles. The devotees claim that the deity will make one free from all his worries. That is the reason why the place (Kachner) is also known as Atishaya (miracle) Kshetra. The image of Digambar Parsvanath with serpent hood was found inside the earth. According to myths a cow used to drop milk at a particular spot every day. Even when it was tied the cow used to reach that particular spot and used to drop milk. When the villagers dug that spot they found this image underneath. Sometimes later the image was broken on its own one day and the villagers tried to replace it by Mahavir’s image. But, the deity came in some devotee’s dream and instructed him to keep the idol locked inside a room. Prayers were done. As a miracle the broken image was joined. This is what the stories tells. But, the place is quite popular and an annual gathering takes place on every Kartik Purnima. Parsvanath is the 23rd Tirthankara of Jaina path. He was born in Varanasi and became an ascetic at an early age. There are many temples of Parsvanath with 108 different images all across India. Kachner is one among them. Jatwada and Paithan Jain temples are nearby Kachner.
