Neemrana is situated amidst the foothills of Aravali hills range. It is a historical place in the Alwar district of Rajasthan. It lies on the Delhi to Jaipur road, located at a distance of 122 km from Delhi. The city hosts a fort which has been converted into a heritage hotel now. Kesroli another historical site is at a close distance from Neemrana city. The region, consisting of Kesroli and Neemrana, is said to have been inhabited by the Matsya Janapada mentioned in the Mahabharata. The city comes under the RIICO (Rajasthan State Industrial development and Investment Corporation) area. Two famous educational institutions, the NIIT and Raffles University have taken interest in establishing their base in Neemrana. The NIIT has already set up its campus within an area of 100 acres. Jaipur is just 3 km drive from Neemrana. Neemrana was the capital of the descendants of Prithwiraj Chauhan. The magnificent fort complex has been handed over to the Heritage hotels. The fort was built on a hillock around the 15th century. It was named after the local leader Nimola Meo on his request. The hotel has become an ideal place for lavish weddings, conferences and honeymoons. One can make a trip to Kesroli which is nearby. There is a fort in Kesroli. Neemrana is supposed to have been inhabited by the Pandavas of Mahabharata. There is a dilapidated Buddhist Vihara in Neemrana. Delhi happens to be the nearest airport to reach Neemrana. It is on the Delhi-Jaipur road. It is only 2 hours journey from Delhi. Rewari (65 km) is the nearest railway station. The Neemrana Fort Palace provides you the best accommodation.
