Ramgarh is a city in Sikar district of Rajasthan in India. To avoid new heavy taxes on their traded woolen products the Poddars of Churu shifted their base to Ramgarh, and to settle more lavishly so as to show off to the ruler and people of Churu they made Ramgarh so beautiful that it outdid churu in all respects. The beauty of the town has faded now but as it is said Old is Gold, the town now is famous for its antiques and its replica market specially Rajasthan wooden works. Poddars, Ruias, Khetans and Agrawals are the rich communities of Ramgarh now highly settled in Mumbai business circuits. House of one rich Khemka family has been converted into a hotel The Hotel Ramgarh Fresco, it has 14 rooms ranging from small single room to well appointed suites, with a roof top restaurant and many other facilities located in the middle of the town, this hotel has become a land mark of the city. The other prominent beautiful icons of the city are the Chhatris of various havelis the most prominent being the Ram Gopal Poddar Chhatri. The Ganga Temple, the Hanuman Temple and the Shani Temple are some of the famous temples.
