Salasar located in Sujangarh in Churu district of Rajasthan in India. Salasar is famous for its Salasar Balaji Temple (Hanumanji Temple). The temple was build on the spot (Later named Salasar) where an unmanned bullock cart stopped after it was loaded with the deities of Lord Hanuman from Asota village where the deities were found while ploughing the fields. Later a devotee named Mohandas provided his services for the construction of the grand temple and also served for the daily rituals of the temple. Mohandas remained bachelor and was a great devotee whom Hanumanji always came to visit personally. Hence this temple has gained popularity among the devotees of Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and Delhi. Now a greater temple complex has come up in the area. Two annual fairs are organized in the month of April. People also visit nearby places and temples. Salasar can be reached by Road and rail from Delhi, Agra, Ajmer and jaipur. It is situated on NH26. The nearest Railhead is at Sujangarh (24 Kms). Busses from every corner of Rajasthan and direct busses from Delhi are available on regular basis.
